ABSTRACT
The article reports on the economic boom of leveraged buyouts (LBOs) in the European market. It states that specialists do not anticipate bonds to replace loans despite the role of a healthy junk-bond market in aiding financial sponsor dealmaking of companies. It notes that successful LBO-related high-yield bonds include an 880 million Swiss franc deal used by PAI Partners SAS to finance its acquisition of Swiss air cargo handler Swissport International AG.
