ABSTRACT
An article is presented in which the authors defend their 2010 article �Pathways for Positive Identity Construction at Work: Four Types of Positive Identity and the Building of Social Resources� and their research on positive identity in the workplace. The authors discuss identity-based mechanisms in organizational research and the importance of identity constructs for workers. Information is provided on the differences between positive and negative identities, as well as on work roles, social conditions for employees, and management.
