Trelleborg A.B. agrees to buy Watts Tyre Group

The article reports that Trelleborg AB, through its Trelleborg Wheel Systems SpA unit, has agreed to buy Watts Tyre Group. The deal of about 32 million dollars is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2011. It states that the deal will strengthen the position of Trelleborg in industrial tires through geographic expansion and an increased aftermarket presence. Watts produces rubber and polyurethane solid and pneumatic industrial tires in plants in Sri Lanka, China and Brazil.
