ABSTRACT
The article discusses the life of Siddharta Gautama, a soldier and spiritual teacher who founded Buddhism. It describes how he was born to Indian King Suddhodana and raised in great luxury to prevent any awareness of human suffering. His scriptural works, oral traditions, and Buddhist teachings have been recorded in the ancient text of the Indo-Aryans called the Pali Canon. Details about the educational and military training programme entered by Siddharta to became proficient in the Indo-Aryan weapons of war are presented.
