In spite of deep budget cuts, research and Extension fulfills mission

The article reports that Texas AgriLife Research Extension, Texas Forest Service and the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory, all part of the Texas A&M University System, will continue to serve farmers, ranchers and landowners in spite of budget cuts in Texas. Vice chancellor and dean of Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Mark Hussey expects a 16 percent budget reduction from the state. Hussey said the cuts will create challenges but the mission will stay the same.
