ABSTRACT
The article highlights the changes in the immunization schedules for people aged 0 to 18 years in the U.S. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) changed the immunization schedules, effective December 21, 2010. Such changes include information on the use of 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, use of tetanus and diphtheria toxoids and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine for children seven to 10 years, and the routine two-dose schedule of quadrivalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4).
