ABSTRACT
The article reports on the result of the Short Term Energy Outlook which revealed an increase in U.S. gas consumption of 4.6% and 0.1% in 2010 and 2011. It mentions that the major source of consumption comes from the industrial and electric power sectors. It affirms that due to legislative and regulatory changes as well as increased consumption, the overall spending among local distribution companies (LCD) is expected to rise.
