ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the decline in textbook export and import trade in the first quarter of 2009 in the U.S. It states that the value of exported textbooks has dropped 2.9% to 115.7 million dollars compared in the fist quarter of 2008, while imports decline 11.6% to 58.3 million dollars, based on the data from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Ron Dunn, president and chief executive officer of Cengage Learning Inc. adds that the international market indicates signs of stabilizing.
