The article reflects the top stories of 2009 relating to PreK-12 educational publishing industry in the U.S. Free Digital Textbook Initiative will call for free, open source and digital submissions to save state and school district money in Palo Alto, California. A legislative action in Texas result to the changes of procurement of instructional materials to support instruction. The merger between Voyager Learning and Cambium Learning to form Cambium Learning Group.
