ABSTRACT
The article reports on the entry of Washington, D.C.-based learning platform and technology solutions provider Blackboard Inc. into the mobile market with the launch of an application for BlackBerry smartphones as part of its Blackboard Mobile platform. The application was developed by Terriblyclever Design, which Blackboard acquired for 4 million dollars in July 2010. Information on Blackboard's financial performance in the third quarter of 2010 is offered.
