ABSTRACT
The article reports on the continued activities of textbook rental programs in higher education with capacity for further growth. It mentions the 10 grants awarded by the U.S. Education Department to institutions this fall of 2010, to facilitate development of rental programs. According to Mark Oppegard, chief executive officer (CEO) of Lincoln, Nebraska-based Nebraska Book Co., this fall of 2010 about 10% of all textbooks used by college students are rented.
