The article focuses on the partnership between Pearson PLC and Montgomery County public schools (MCPS) in Maryland to accelerate the development and implementation of the district's K-5 online curriculum initiative. It says that the K-5 online curriculum initiative provides revenue from royalties to MCPS. According to Brian Edwards, Montgomery County chief of staff, the program will perform well because school districts are interested in online programs.
