ABSTRACT
The article presents views for several credit union (CU) chief executive officers (CEOs) concerning the role of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in regulating natural-person and corporate CUs in the U.S. Stuart Perlitsh argues that the agency's allocation of resources is misguided, claiming that they are spending less on the poor performers to catch trouble early. Henry Wirz suggests the need for the agency's exam process to be more clear-cut, and adhere to uniform standards.
