ABSTRACT
In this article the author discusses the health system in Croatia. She argues that the country's health system is primitive, lacks the concept of responsibility in medical malpractice and leaves such cases to the legal system. Also investigated is the case of the Pitra family in which the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare admitted its mistake but showed no remorse. She argues the government agency should provide immediate compensation for such cases.
