ABSTRACT
This article reports on the delay in the sale of Del Monte Foods Co. in 2011. The move has been made after Vice Chancellor Travis Laster of the Delaware Chancery Court delayed the shareholder vote on the sale. A consortium of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Vestar Capital and Centerview Partners wanted to acquire the company. Barclays Capital served as the advisor of Del Monte in the transaction.
