ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the use of preventive measures to reduce the risks of foodborne illnesses among consumers and workers in the produce industry in the U.S. The produce industry's adoption on the Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) to lessen chemical, physical, and pathogens contamination is noted. Furthermore, the importance of educating employee about GAPs and proper hygiene will reduce these mentioned contaminations.
