ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the result of the Municipal Market Data (MMD) revealing the status of municipal and treasury markets in the U.S. It relates that according to Randy Smolik, in his MMD commentary, the confidence to step aggressively to buy bonds was relevant to the stronger Treasury market. It reports the 9 billion of inflation-indexed 30- year bonds sold by the Treasury Department sold at 2.19% yield with Federal Reserve banks purchased 494.4 million for their own accounts.
