ABSTRACT
The article reports on the move of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to replace the outdated and inefficient boilers with energy-efficient exhaust boilers to their facilities including dormitories, medical centers and aircraft runways in the U.S. It states that the system allows the U.S. Air Force and taxpayers to save millions of dollars in fuel costs. It notes the new boilers are connected to five 12-cylinder diesel engines that drives five large generators.
