ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the national health information strategy of Canada with the use of electronic medical records (EMR). It notes that the strategy has underserved the needs of physicians and patients and is overly focused on building a national infostructure in which critics say it should be refocused. According to Brian Forster, chief executive officer (CEO) of OntarioMD, said that the health information strategy has not provided doctors with the tools to adopt and us the EMR.
