The article reports on the successful deployment of Iridium Communications Inc.'s next-generation satellite constellation, Iridium NEXT, worth 1.8 billion dollars in the U.S. Despite the difficulty in getting a loan to finance a project, Iridium managed to obtain a loan from French export credit agency Coface. Greg P. Lee, managing director of Coface SA, states that because of the huge risk associated with the launch of the project, they are careful on presenting them to the market.
