ABSTRACT
The article provides updates on the U.S. credit unions (CUs). Ben Bernanke of Federal Reserve Board has showed concern on the workability of exemptions for CUs and small banks from the debit interchange price controls. A proposal was tabled by the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, calling for Western Federal Credit Union (FCU) to be given the same access to its 8,000 employees. The CO-OP Miracle Match program participated by credit unions has raised more than three million dollars.
