ABSTRACT
The article features the international conferences held in 2007 and 2009 where the modern bamboo structures are presented. The presentation involves some of the research done to utilize the use of bamboo to modern buildings and houses which include the bamboo-made harbor shed and bamboo columns and beams. A progress in bamboo structures from traditional to modern applications is noted.
