ABSTRACT
The article offers information on various reports related to credit unions (CU) in U.S. It notes that the Alliant Credit Union has acquired the Continental Federal Credit Union, the aim of the unsuccessful hostile takeover in 2007 that had eventually cost members of airline employees CU a promised 5 million dollars payout. It says that JoAnn Johnson, former chairman of National Credit Union Administration, was appointed head of Iowa's CU agency, replacing long-time director James Forney.
