ABSTRACT
The article reports that information about the substantial labor research collections held in the Brynmor Jones Library of the University of Hull in Hull, England, is now available in a new on-line guide. The Hull University Manuscripts and Archives Database (HUMAD) contains details of over 100 labor collections to be found. The database comprises three main elements. The first, and most important, of these is the main HUMAD listing itself. The second element, obtainable under the option Special lists, comprises item-specific references to particular categories of documents. The final element of the HUMAD system contains recent news about the collections and the archives center itself: the availability of free and priced publications, newly-produced printed lists and guides, and significant new collections.
