The acquisition will help Hannifin to build on its oil and gas market position and extend its quick response service model. The deal will also provide Hannifin a new product line and Gulf has annual sale of 45 million dollars and employees about 160. Steve Leatherwood, Gulf's president, mentions that the deal will help it to expand far beyond they were capable of on their own.
