ABSTRACT
The author reflects on live performances in various museums in New York City. She notes that the show "The Artist Is Present," by Marina Abramovic is a live-body project that required a tag team of reperformers at work during museum hours. She mentions the artist of Tino Sehgal's "The Kiss," wherein the kisses of artworks were enacted by two dancers. The author cites that a sculpture/stage "5 Songs" was built by visual artist Martin Kersels at Whitney Museum of American Art.
