ABSTRACT
The article offers updates related to credit unions in the U.S. Private deposit insurer ASI Federal Credit Union has proposed for mandatory assessment on corporate bailout charge for credit unions in nine U.S. states. Credit Union National Association (CUNA) has reported that 2010 is the worst year for credit union lending in three decades. CUNA has rebuilt its cash reserves and raised its campaign war chest to 320,000 dollars after the election.
