ABSTRACT
The article information on different deals and other activities in the sporting goods and sportswear industry during 2010. Major chains in the industry which postponed their merger and expansion plans during recession, are now looking for new deals. Dick's Sporting Goods Inc. is opening 34 stores up from 26 in 2009. Clarus Corp. a publicly-held company, acquired Black Diamond Equipment and Gregory Mountain Products as a part of its plan to gain a foothold in the outdoor lifestyle sector.
