The article offers information related to the use of 185 million dollars which was donated by pharmaceuticals heiress Ruth Lilly to the Poetry Foundation in 2002. It discusses the progresses and developments of the foundation's flagship magazine, Poetry. It also discusses a study which was commissioned by John Barr, president of the foundation to examine who reads poetry and how new poetry readers can be attracted.
