ABSTRACT
Mr. Douglas discusses the often heard complaint that advanced writing courses tend to reach an early point of diminishing returns, after which student interest begins to wane. After identifying a number of traditional ways of preventing this from happening, he offers a few suggestions of his own for overcoming the doldrums.
