ABSTRACT
The article reports on the possible adoption or rejection of changes in the 2008 Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) clinical practice guidelines in Canada. It says that the protecting mothers and children module was released to address both postpartum screening and the management of gestational diabetes among women. It mentions a study from the Hypoglycemia and Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes (HAPO) on pregnant women globally wherein the results reveal a strong connection of maternal glucose levels.
