ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs related to medication safety. A pharmacist at an Australian hospital discovered a medical error while conducting a query into a prescription for a patient. Australian pharmacists have warned physicians about the dangers of handwritten prescriptions for the drugs Citrol, Ciprol, and Cifrol, which have very similar spellings. A women inhaled a foreign object into her lungs that her son had inserted into the mouthpiece of her inhaler.
