ABSTRACT
The article offers information on several deals that signaled slight market recovery in the European leveraged loan market in the fourth quarter of 2010. These include the 300 million British pound financing for the buyout of Vue Entertainment in Great Britain, and a 150 million British pound loan for the buyout of Britax Childcare. Likewise it notes that the lack of an institutional marketplace will impede a significant revival in leveraged loans in Europe. Also discussed are deals in the senior secured bond sector.
