ABSTRACT
The article presents information about medical and scientific research as of January 17, 2011. A serotonin-transporter gene has been identified that might raise the risk of mental depression if it is combined with a traumatic event. Research confirms the effectiveness of colonoscopy for lowering the risk of developing colon cancer. A prediction model for forecasting success with the in vitro fertilization process is mentioned.
