ABSTRACT
Examines the structural basis of the interaction between profilin, a 15 kDA actin monomer binding protein, and proline-rich proteins using x-ray crystallography and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Identification of LPro [sub 10] site as a highly conserved patch of hydrophobic amino acids on the profilin surface; Characteristics of the orientation of peptide binding to human platelet profilin in solution.
