The article reports on the focus of audio retailers on different areas of expertise to differentiate themselves from their competitors in 2011. Guitar Center Inc. has promoted the audio market with its GC Pro division catering to audio professionals and boosted some manufacturers to be certain of their products available at retail. According to Cutting Edge Audio Group LLC founding partner Jeff Briss, nearly 100% of his business are packages or equipment systems.
