ABSTRACT
The article focuses on tools used for managing people. The author argues that in a creative economy, chief executive officers (CEO) should become a management architect. It also reports that Vineet Nayar, CEO of HCL Technologies and his team made six key changes in their pursuit of management innovation that include, they provided all teams with a detailed set of financial metrics for their team, an online forum was setup for questions and feedback and employees were made to rate the performance of any manager whose decisions impact their work.
