ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the diversity of population in Alberta. The author mentions that in 1885, Alberta has only 15,533 population, with races that include French, Ontarians or British, and Americans. She adds that the implementation of immigration policies in the 19th century results to the flocking of immigrants from nations such as Germany, Scandinavia, and Russia. Moreover, she calls for a kinder attitude which Alberta residents would offer to newcomers in the province.
