ABSTRACT
The article reports on the move by suppliers to opt for the smaller distributed control system (DCS) products as the pressures in competitive market intensifies over the past two years from 2008 to 2010 in Great Britain. DCS offered a role for systems integrators to support and supply end-users of automation technology. The emphasis of DCS is the extension of the life of small migrations, existing systems and other system plays for improving output and productivity, and lowering energy costs.
