ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the expansion and rehabilitation of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District's (MSD) entire wastewater collection and treatment system. It states that a 1,034 linear foot segment of 48-inch steel casing developed by microtunneling is one key project recently completed. According to Denny Heisler, vice president of J & J Boring Inc., the 34-feet deep access pit requires a dewatering system operated 24/7 at the work pit and come-out pit.
