Cox Opens VOD Door to TiVo

The article discusses the agreement between Cox Communications Inc. and TiVo Inc. which allows TiVo to access to Cox's digital video recorders (DVR) and video-on-demand (VOD) library in the U.S. It notes that Cox offers 15,000 hours of video to allow TiVo Premiere DVR users in all markets an access to the entire VOD. Cox vice president of product development Steve Necessary states that offering customer with a lease option for the TiVo hardware has been given a consideration with Cox.
