ABSTRACT
The article offers a look on the conditions affecting investment and trade in Israel as of September 1, 2010. The Israeli government is supportive of the inflow of foreign capital, and allows foreign investors to participate in the country's privatization program. However, investments in regulated industries need prior government approval. Also described are the country's tariff and non-tariff barriers, infrastructure, legal framework, corruption and other bureaucratic issues and labor conditions.
