ABSTRACT
The article presents the public art of artist William Pope. L in the U.S. It includes the "Burial Piece," in which he was buried for eight hours immobilized and suffering under the sun, the "Time Square Crawl," involve a painful and slow travel along the not-yet restored center, and the "Tompkins Square Park Crawl," in which he made the artist intention of acting out and devote in significance. It also mentions that his work reminds of how problematic the African-American in public spaces.
