ABSTRACT
The characteristic times of establishing the steady rate of nucleation on soluble aerosol particles containing surfactants have been determined in sub-equilibrium, near-equilibrium, sub-critical, near-critical and super-critical regions of droplet sizes. It has been shown that the largest is the time of establishing the steady regime in the sub-critical region of droplet sizes situated in the axis of sizes between the locations of minimum and maximum of the work of droplet formation. The role of an adsorbing monolayer of dissolved surfactant at the surface of nucleating droplet is analyzed.
