ABSTRACT
With recent improvements in near infrared detectors, we have initiated investigations into actinide luminescence in this spectral region and have begun by searching for emission from f[sup 1] neptunyl(VI). Our hope is that, once developed, f-f luminescence might serve as a tool for studying actinide speciation and ultimately find utility as an analytical chemistry tool. © 2000 American Institute of Physics.
