ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Nkechi Ekwunife, minority intern for the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA)/Thursday Luncheon Group (TLG), who benefited from the minority internship program of AFSA and TLG. It says that Ekwunife spent her high school years in Nigeria and had an experience interning at the U.S. embassy in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso in 2009. Ekwunife also worked for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs at the Department of State as AFSA/TLG minority intern in summer 2010.
