ABSTRACT
The article presents a research study which investigates the validity of the one-step repair technique in the treatment of osteochondral lesions of the knee through bone-marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cell transplantation. In the study, patients who undergone the treatment show a significant regeneration of cartilage tissues in a remodeling phase. It recommends the use of the entire bone-marrow cellular pool without laboratory analysis, thus, achieving the one-step technique transplantation.
