ABSTRACT
The article reports on the drop of 12-month global speculative-grade junk bond default rate to 3.3% in November 2010 from 3.7% in October and 13.6% a year ago, according to Moody's Investors Service. The ratings agency's Albert Metz said that they continue to expect stable, low default rates for the near future but there are risks that defaults may increase, particularly if financing becomes scarce in the European markets. Speculative-grade default rate edged down to 3.5% in November 2010 in the U.S.
