ABSTRACT
The article reports that the plan of Google to acquire discount coupon site Groupon has triggered deals in the electronic commerce market. One is the investment of Amazon.com in LivingSocial, a competitor of Groupon. Online retail giant eBay has purchased Milo, a real-time local shopping engine which tracks the availability and prices of products that sits on the shelves of brick and mortar stores in real time.
