ABSTRACT
The article offers information on a community in Alabama called Hazel Green. Its name was attributed to the abundance of green hazelnut bushes. Its rapid growth led to the town's incorporation in 1821. Its first residents came due to the abundance of fertile farmlands, according to the author. As of mid-50s, the town listed 88 cars and 70 tractors.
